Another thing to remember if you are a bikini girl is to get bikinis which tie at the side, as you can adjust them so they don’t dig into your sides when you sit down! In terms of colour, brown or black are always good for the first part of the week when you’re still pale, and then move into the brighter colours or white at the end of the week when you have more colour.
For the rest of your holiday wardrobe, its best to pack things which are interchangeable. For example, if you take a pair of linen trousers you should have at least three tops to go with them. It’s good to choose things which can be layered so you can add or take away, as this will give you more outfit options as well as solving that problem of what to wear if the weather turns cooler. Always pack a jacket or a cardigan, even if going to a warm place – you don’t want to be suffering with the cold when the sun goes in.
Dresses are great travel items as they roll into your case easily, and they are a whole look in one. Maxi dresses are also hugely popular this year and look stylish on just about everyone – you might surprise yourself if you’ve not tried a maxi dress already. It is always good to have at least one dressy look in case you end up somewhere fancy! A great pashmina or shawl is also a good item to take as it too is adaptable – you can use it to wrap round yourself on the plane, as well as draping over your shoulders in the evening. |
